Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage, removed from casings
  • 1 lb. cavatappi or rotini pasta
  • 2 tsp. Tone’s Italian Seasoning Blend
  • 1 – 32 oz. container reduced sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 – 10 oz. pkg. Green Giant®️ Simply Steam Broccoli Cuts
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup halved grape tomatoes
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Heat oil over medium heat in a deep skillet or stock pot.
  2. Add the sausage and cook, crumbling with a spatula, for 5-6 minutes or until cooked through.
  3. Remove sausage from the pan and wipe out any excess oil.
  4. Return pot to stove and add dry pasta, seasoning blend, broth and water and turn on medium-high heat.
  5. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture starts to simmer.
  6. Keep at a simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in broccoli and cooked sausage and cover the pot. Cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Stir in milk and cream cheese until the cream cheese is dissolved.
  9. Stir in the tomatoes and heat for 1 minute.
  10. Turn off the heat and stir in the parmesan to serve.
