Pasta with Italian Sausage and Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. Italian sausage, removed from casings
- 1 lb. cavatappi or rotini pasta
- 2 tsp. Tone’s Italian Seasoning Blend
- 1 – 32 oz. container reduced sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 – 10 oz. pkg. Green Giant®️ Simply Steam Broccoli Cuts
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 oz. cream cheese
- 1 cup halved grape tomatoes
- ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
Directions
- Heat oil over medium heat in a deep skillet or stock pot.
- Add the sausage and cook, crumbling with a spatula, for 5-6 minutes or until cooked through.
- Remove sausage from the pan and wipe out any excess oil.
- Return pot to stove and add dry pasta, seasoning blend, broth and water and turn on medium-high heat.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture starts to simmer.
- Keep at a simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in broccoli and cooked sausage and cover the pot. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in milk and cream cheese until the cream cheese is dissolved.
- Stir in the tomatoes and heat for 1 minute.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the parmesan to serve.
