Hoisin Glazed Tuna Steaks Recipe

  • Make tender tuna steaks even better with steak seasoning, brown sugar and hoisin sauce.


  • 4 tuna steaks (about 12 ounces, total)
  • 2 tsp olive oil, pure OR olive canola blend
  • 1 1/2 tsp Canadian Steak Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp water


  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Brush tuna steaks with oil; sprinkle with 1-1/2 teaspoons steak seasoning.
  3. Broil tuna steaks for 6 to 8 minutes for medium, or until slightly pink inside.
  4. Combine brown sugar, hoisin sauce, water and 1 teaspoon steak seasoning in a small saucepan.
  5. Cook over low heat until sugar is melted and mixture begins to bubble.
  6. Serve hot glaze over tuna steaks.


Salmon or pork chops may be substituted for tuna steaks.

For well done tuna steaks, broil 8 to 10 minutes or until no longer pink inside.
