Ingredients
Lemon Pepper Cornmeal Crusted Tilapia
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup corn meal
- 2 tsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup corn oil
Lemon Pepper Tartar Sauce
- 2 tsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sweet OR dill pickle relish
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Directions
- Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, pickle relish and 2 teaspoons lemon pepper in a small bowl.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve; will keep 1 week.
- Combine flour, corn meal and 2 teaspoons lemon pepper in a shallow bowl or plate.
- Thoroughly dredge each piece of tilapia in the seasoned flour.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add fish and cook 4 to 5 minutes until lightly browned.
- Carefully turn and cook additional 4 to 5 minutes until cook through.
- Serve immediately with Lemon Pepper Dipping Sauce.
