Cupcakes

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup cake flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp hot water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract, pure

Icing

  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup dulce de leche
  • 1 to 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 dash Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract, pure

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer until light and creamy colored, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add eggs, beating well after each.
  3. Mix flour, cocoa, salt and cinnamon together in a medium bowl.
  4. Gradually add flour mixture and water to batter, alternating.
  5. Beat in vanilla extract.
  6. Combine soda and hot water in a small bowl; fold into batter.
  7. Portion into cupcake pans lined with liners.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350ºF.
  9. Cool at least 30 minutes.
  10. Beat all frosting ingredients together in a large bowl until creamy.
  11. Ice each cupcake.
